Your Subconscious Mind: The Most Sophisticated Super-Computer in Existence

Your subconscious mind is like the registry of your computer. A computer’s registry is its database that stores configuration settings and options. Most people have a vague idea it’s there. Some may realize what it does, but very few will be able to open it up and start deleting or adjusting any of its keys or values because they won’t know what anything in there means.

You need to understand that it is possible to adjust your subconscious mind, and positive affirmations are the way to do this. It is how you can clear out all the redundant and harmful data your subconscious stores. It also allows you to know exactly why you may be behaving in a certain way in a certain situation.

When a computer is behaving oddly or sluggishly, it is often a muddled and messed up registry that’s responsible. Even when you delete a program, there will usually be remnants of it remaining in the registry.

Your aim with positive affirmations is to reprogram your subconscious mind, on the one hand, and to continue to clear out any negative traces that remain from your previous way of thinking, on the other hand.

Positive affirmations help you become more in tune with how your subconscious mind operates and why you may respond poorly in certain circumstances. The more you program your mind positively, the more easily you will recognize negative activity and be able to jump on it and delete it. Equally, you will find that you are far more tuned into the whisperings of your subconscious mind that often bring answers to difficult dilemmas in your life.

    Chantal,

I really like the comparison of the subconscious to a computer. Especially in this day of programs becoming scattered throughout our systems. The mind will often fragment and scatter various pieces of our thinking throughout our subconscious. At those times, it is important to clean things up a bit and run a defragger on our own mind.

    Great post!

    Allo Chantal,

From what I can gather, my problem seems to be one of self esteem. This dates back from my very early years. I believe that some of these old beliefs or paradigmes are still active and I have no clue on how I can get rid of them. Any clues?

    Warm regards,

    Guy

Guy: My professional experience has proven time and again that most of our human problems have unworthiness at its core root… and so you’re really not alone facing this issue.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) can most definitely help you overcome this challenge on three levels (mental, emotional, behavioral). I suggest you first start by reading A Guide to Rational Living, by Albert Ellis and Robert A. Harper. Although this book does not specifically address unworthiness issues, it contains many useful ideas that will most definitely help you do some great work on yourself.

Also, a dear colleague of mine, Dr. Joe Rubino, is a leading expert when it comes to find ideal solutions to lack of self-esteem. He has just released a brand new home study course that you might find very interesting. Here’s the link to follow:

      I sincerely hope this helps!
